Why has rape and sexual molestation become a culture today and what steps need to be taken to end this culture?

Dr.Ali Khwaja was invited for the seminar on " Why has rape and sexual molestation become a culture today and what steps need to be taken to end this culture?", organized by Mahila Dakshata Samiti Karnataka Chapter at the Police Commissioner's Office, Infantry Road on Saturday 29th September 2018.

Dr.Ali gave a magnificent speech on the topic "Steps to end the culture of rape and sexual molestation". He said sexual molestation has definitely more to do with power and oppression than fulfillment of sexual desires. He by quoting examples from real life, brilliantly pointed out how mass opinion often over rides logic of commonsense, and slowly becomes a culture . He emphasized on the need to start a good culture from home by teaching young boys to respect girls. He informed the audience by giving tips to improve prevailing situation and how can we help the next generation girls and boys to live with mutual respect, and thus eradicate the bad culture of rape and sexual molestation.

Respected personalities like T. Suneel Kumar IPS (Commissioner of Police Bangalore), Malini Krishna Murthy IPS (Additional Director of Police), Dr.Prabha S Chandra (Prof HOD Department of Psychiatry, NIMHANCE, Bangalore), Ms.Sweta Krishnappa (Govt.Advocate, Advocate General Office High Court of Karnataka) also made the session very informative with their insights.

Following the speech there was a wonderful interactive session where the audience interacted with the speakers clarifying their doubts and asking interesting questions.
