At the outset let me be honest to mention that I was slightly reluctant to join this course wondering whether it is the right course for me.

However today I have no regrets whatsoever for embarking on this beautiful journey. First of all I felt like I was back to my student days. The classroom culture, meeting new people, being apart of an institution etc was very refreshing. I really felt young and energetic. My life felt more purposeful. The course has also improved my quality of life. My approach to life has take a totally different turn I now view things in a more positive manner. I have also become less impulsive and a good listener. I am patient and have learnt to value others feelings. I realize that I am less judgmental about people these days. Looking back I used to be very judgmental of people and this used to cause an unrest in me, which I face less these days. I am more relaxed and composed. One of the big challenges when I joined the course was handling my adolescent children. I cannot mention in words how DCS has helped me to do this better. My relationship with my kids have immensely improved! I am more a friend to them today. I used to feel frustrated thinking that my kids are really one of their kind. Today with all the input from Banjara I have realized that my children are the most precious gift given by God to me, and they are just normal teenagers! I will treasure this thought and thank Banjara in a long time to come for this wonderful journey gifted to me. Another valuable lesson learnt by me is valuing my own feelings! I used to brush away all the feeling thinking they are insignificant. There were times when I felt I should not even think this way. Today I let the feeling be as Banjara has taught me that “to him his own feelings”. Once I don’t hold back the feeling I am able to manage the feeling rather that hide it. This has improved the quality of my life To sum up this, DCS has been a very fruitful journey of my life. I feel proud to have added myself to one more family. I have more people to love and care for in my list. It is made a BIG difference to my life as it has answered a lot of questions which had intrigued me. I also feel I can do a bit of contribution to the society at large after doing DCS. This will give me immense happiness as I have always wanted to make a difference but used to be wondering about how to do it.
