Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling

Those who wish to upgrade their DCS course to a higher level to include the theory of counseling, are offered Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counselling (PGDPC) program as an optional add-on to the regular DCS course they are already pursuing.

Eligibility: Graduation in psychology, or practicing counselors or those who have done or doing DCS.

Every alternate Saturday 10:30 am to 12:30 pm (twice a month from 29th July 2017 to 10th February 2018).

Process: 6 Assignments to be submitted and final written and practical exam in last week of February.

Syllabus: based on Bangalore University syllabus for M.Sc. (Psychological Counselling) course, with primary focus on Rogerian techniques. This is purely a distance learning program and “portions” will not be completed in classes. Students are expected to study on their own and come for clearing doubts, getting wider understanding etc..

Faculty: Current and past university teachers, headed by Dr. Lakshmi, MA (Psy), MA (health counseling Santa Clara University USA), M.Phil, Ph.D (NIAS), formerly of Women’s College, Hyderabad and Bangalore University. Dr. Chandra J, MA, B.Ed, DCS, Ph.D, former lecturer will also be part of the team
