Request for special educators for children
Date: 2 May 2013
Reussir is successful. We believe that every child has a potential and strengths. We identify the strengths and work on them with simple assessment and life skills, which would enable the learning disabled child to lead a positive and stress free life.
Dyslexia comes from the Greek language meaning 'difficulty with words'. It's a symptom of a number of different information processing disorders in the brain.
Because there are so many different possible underlying problems (many of which have yet to be understood fully) dyslexia is hard to closely define because it affects children in many different ways. However, the basic problem is a difficulty learning to read, spell and write.
The theories of the of dyslexia have and are evolving with each new generation of dyslexia researchers, and the more recent theories of dyslexia tend to enhance one or more of the older theories as understanding of the nature of dyslexia evolves. Though there is no exact data there are 5%-10% of the population is dyslexic. In India every school has at least 10% of the children are dyslexic. Dyslexia is a difficulty and we need to work on the strengths of the child to overcome the difficulties.
We intend to set up a remedial centre for the children with learning disability. We are looking for special educators to join us.
The timing would be 4pm to 6 pm weekly 3 or 4 days. The Center is at Jayamahal. We intend to start in the month of June.
