Duration, Batches - Diploma in Counselling Skills (DCS) Classroom Course

The DCS programme consists of lectures, role plays, exercises, group interaction, field work, and assignments.

DCS: Individual interviews for admission to the Diploma in Counselling Skills (DCS) Course at RT Nagar, Bangalore North, have started, classes start in the last wek of June 17, and practicals in July 17. Regular classes end in Feb 2018 and the first week of March is spent on extra classes, practicals, and presentations. The valedictory programme will be held in Mar 2018.

Batches

DCS

Classes and group interactions are held twice a week as follows:

Batch I : Wed & Fri 10:30 am to 12:30 pm (Inaugural Class on 23 June 2017 from 10:30am to 1:00pm)
Batch II : Tue & Thu 4:30 to 6:30 pm (Inaugural Class on 11 July 2017 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm)
Batch III : Sat 3:30 to 5:30 pm, Sun 10:30 am to 12:30 pm (Inaugural Class on 24 June 2017 from 2:30pm to 5:00pm)

Additionally, one day in the week is marked for 3 hours practical work, in rotation (as per the convenience of individual candidates). Opportunity will also be provided to enroll in the “Counselling Club” which conducts role plays, counselling practice and skills sharpening on a regular basis.

The course is conducted in small batches and sufficient individual interaction is done with each candidate for personal growth. Core faculty and mentors willingly spend extra time with students as and when they are needed. For those who wish to refine their skills further, additional training and practical work opportunities are provided, other than the compulsory hours of practical and project work.
