Based on the 10 Life Skills required for positive growth and a good quality of life as enumerated by the World Health Organisation (WHO), our Certificate in Life Skills Education (CLSE) programme is designed to make you learn through experience and activities - there are no textbook or exams. The CBSE and other Boards have made training students in life skills compulsory, and engineering and other colleges are incorporating life skills as part of the curriculum to ensure that students are made industry-ready.

The Certificate in Life Skills Education (CLSE) course is, in short, a unique interactive and practical, four-and-a-half months, part-time programme to understand, imbibe and impart training in Life Skills.

Beginning: Saturday, 30 Nov 2013, and Ending: on 15 Apr 2014. Duration: 4.5 months
Timings: Twice a week, on Saturdays, from 330-530 pm and Sundays from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Classes: at Little Millennium School, 70. Karthiknagar, LRDE Layout, Marathahalli Post, Outer Ring Road, Bangalore 560037. Additional practical work at flexible timings.
Eligibility: Open to all, adults who are genuinely concerned about improving their own and others’ quality of life through simple, practical techniques. No minimum qualification.
Admissions: Based on personal interview. Limited seats.
FEES: Rs 13,259/- only (including 12.36% Service Tax).
Future: This programme not only helps in improving relationships and getting better control and direction of life, but also empowers and trains the participants to become Life Skills Trainers - to work in schools, colleges, NGOs or on their own. There is learning, unlearning and re-learning of all aspects of life.

The course also includes vital areas such as child and adolescent development, family, anger management, assertiveness, time management, marriage, jealousy - all at the practical level, apart from the World Health Organization's (WHO) 10 Life Skills (listed below), used as a base by the Certificate in Life Skills Education (CLSE) course.

Methodology: Lectures, demonstrations, case studies, project work, presentations and team activities.

Project work: Very practical and useful projects will be taken up in groups, guided by a Project Leader.

Mentoring: Each participant will be given opportunity to discuss in confidence all personal, interpersonal matters and areas of concern, to get individual guidance on tackling important life issues.

We're thrilled to share that our centre at Marathahalli took off on 30 Nov 13 with the launch of the Certification in Life Skills Education (CLSE) weekend course of 4.5 months. It was very heartening to see people from all backgrounds, age, education, and professions sign up for the course.
