Wanted Fundraising and Communications Executive for Baale Mane, Bengaluru.

The Baale Mane Trust a girls’ home near Bangalore aiming to nurture brighter futures for girls with challenging backgrounds, is recruiting a fundraising Executive to join our passionate team. We are looking for someone with an interest in girls’ and children's rights and who is able to take initiative in their work to maintain existing and develop new fundraising opportunities.

Job Title – Fundraising and Communications Executive
Classification – Full-Time Hours
Reports to – President of the Baale Mane Trust Board
Salary – Competitive NGO salary based on applicant’s level of experience
Location: - North Bangalore (Malleshwaram/Hesaraghatta)

The Fundraising Executive will be responsible for ongoing corporate partnerships, individual donors and fundraising campaigns. They will also coordinate the major fundraising events in Baale Mane's Bangalore calendar - the TCS 10k run in May, and the events that are part of Daan Utsav (Joy of Giving Week) in October. The Fundraising Executive will also work with staff at Baale Mane on donor relations and follow-ups, forging new connections and relationships within Bangalore, India and internationally, with corporates, individual donors and other fundraising initiatives. With regards to communications, the Executive will be responsible for Baale Mane’s online presence – websites, giving pages, campaigns, and social media platforms, and offline presence, producing documents, presentations and media.

Ideally, the applicant will be:
  • a long-term resident of Bangalore with an established network
  • passionate about child rights, especially issues such as girls & women’s empowerment and education
Ideally, the applicant will have:
  • 2+ years’ experience in non-profit fundraising and event planning
  • experience with social networking and communications, with the ability to apply these to fundraising
  • the ability to forge new connections and maintain existing relationships with:
  • • corporate partners • individual donors • fundraising initiatives
  • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • the ability to take initiative in their work
  • presentation skills and the ability to speak to large and varied crowds including corporates and other NGO's
  • experience with managing corporate volunteer groups and volunteers, (both international and local) focussing on fundraising and communications projects
  • the ability to manage project budgets, financial reporting and managing accounting and donation processes

The successful applicant will also be required to visit Baale Mane at least twice every month, to ensure they are connected and up to date on daily life at the home. It is important to have a thorough understanding of the beneficiaries that we are working with in order to successfully fundraise for the organisation. At Baale Mane, we place a strong focus on a sustainable model using a collaborative approach, prioritising the girls in everything we do, and would expect the Fundraising Executive to follow this philosophy.
